Our roots are deep in time, huge legacy for the future.
Five decades ago, the creative venture of our founder, Agamemnon Pitenis, is realized when a small workshop for the production of traditional salad is started, in Kozani, with the aim of providing exemplary service to his fellow citizens, the offer of excellent quality products and the attraction of stable customers, loyal friends of the culinary heritage of our country.
He already runs a grocery store in town with his brother, which is procured, including, ready-made salads from a partner in Thessaloniki. The frequent difficulty of the supplier to deliver products to Kozani makes Agamemnon Pitenis stubborn, who decides to make his own recipes so as not to depend on third parties.
After many experiments and fruitless attempts, his trials began the 1973, and so on 1975 the lab officially goes into orbit, preparing just five dishes, the eggplant salad, Russian, tzatziki, paprika and cheese salad. Initially he supplies the family grocery store, but then it leaves the boundaries of Kozani.
Despite the challenges he faces from time to time, the brand manages to distinguish itself in the field of fine and traditional dishes, to respond responsibly to the expectations of society and consistently serve a balanced diet.
Demand and product range are rapidly expanding, and the distribution goes beyond the borders of Western Macedonia only, but also the borders of our country.
For three decades now, at the helm of the company we are proudly his four children, Dimitrios, Nicholas, Andreas and Stylianos, which we expanded it verbally, until we established one of the largest gourmet food production and marketing industries in Greece.
Determined to open a new creative chapter, we propose an investment plan to our father. In fact, we hide the real budget from him, where was it 412 million. Dr., mentioning only the 60 million. When the investment is approved, subjecting our ambitious plan to the Development Law, he is informed of the exact amount, and while falling from the clouds, he generously gives us his bankbook and with it his blessing.
Since, with hard work, imagination and sustainable practices, a production unit is built in an area 13 acres, with state-of-the-art facilities, clear ecological orientation, advanced research and strict quality assurance controls.
With dedication to quality and reliability, as well as with timeless sensitivity towards nature, the ancient craft is now developing into an industry of international scope. He never stops innovating, at every stage of contact with the consumer, but also to actively support the small corner of the world where it started.
They are processed using natural and standard methods, which maintain all their quality characteristics and guarantee the safety of the final product.
In traditional salads, healthy dressings come to be added, homemade sauces, especially fish, pickles and gourmet foods, which are constantly enriched and each year are distinguished in international competitions. The purity of the raw materials we use, our environmental culture, as well as the top service we achieve, certified by the multiple honorary quality awards we have received. Our products such as Kozani Yolk Mayonnaise and Fish Pastourma consistently stand out in awards.
Today we have overcome them 250 codes, with our annual production exceeding theirs 1.000 tons. Our products are present all over the world. With more than 80 dealers, we feed 11.000 points of sale in more than 30 Countries.
